Początkowy, lecz już wyraźnie ukształtowany heavy metal, można zaobserwować w muzyce grup Led Zeppelin i Black Sabbath. Jeśli chodzi o korzenie, to jedni upatrują prototypu utworu heavymetalowego w piosence The Beatles "Helter-Skelter" (z Białego Albumu) lub The Kinks "You Really Got Me", inni zaś za pierwsze utwory protoheavymetalowe uznają przeboje grupy The Dave Clark Five, szczególnie "Any Way You Want It" i "Glad All Over" z 1964 roku. Zresztą nurt zapoczątkowany przez The Dave Clark Five nazywa się heavy drum albo heavy bass, od ciężkiego, hałaśliwego i agresywnego brzmienia.

Velvet Chain - WATCHING YOU
Words: J. Stacy/A. Costa
Music: J. Stacy/E. Amato

I'm watching you, from where I stand...
The ground is shaky...
When you pass close by
My head is spinning

Here is safe, here is sound
As long as you're around
Keep you mine, if I keep my distance
As long as I just hesitate and hold my ground

I'm watching you - it's what I do...

My hesitating mood, I stare then I brood
I like my solitude, I'm frozen to it
Here where I stand, you're coming my direction
I have to look away, so you won't see me...
I'm watching you
I'm watching you
It's what I do...
It's what I do...

I wait for you, sometimes I do
Think I'll talk to you
But when I see you...
I just come unwired
My head is spinning

Here is safe, here is sound
As long as you're around
Feels so nice, oh so easy
As long as I just hesitate and hold my ground

I'm watching you, it's what I do...

My hesitating mood, I stare then I brood
I like my solitude, I'm frozen to it
Here where I stand, you're coming my direction
I have to look away, so you won't see me...

I'm watching you
I'm watching you
It's what I do...
It's what I do...
I'm watching you
I'm watching you
It's what I do...
It's what I do... tylko grosz kominy Zamki do drzwi przeprowadzki warszawa szkoły policealne
